How to Cook and Eat an Artichoke


Fresh ArtichokeFresh artichokes can be intimidating. I tend to shy away from it in the produce isle. The first time I ate an artichoke was at Cheesecake Factory and immediately fell in love with it. If you’ve never tried the Fire-Roasted Fresh Artichoke at Cheesecake Factory, you’ve got to try it! I love it so much that I tried to replicate it at home and it’s pretty darn close to restaurant quality! Follow these steps on how to cook and eat an artichoke!





Step 1: Chop Off The Top and Bottom to Create Flat Surfaces

Step 2: Trim Off the Tips of Each Leaf Because They Are Spiky

Step 3: Drizzle Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar into the Artichoke

Step 4: Stuff Garlic into Artichoke. Sprinkle with Salt. Wrap up in Aluminum Foil. Roast at 400F for 45 Mins

Step 5: EAT! Peel Petal. Put End of Petal into Mouth and Scrap Pulp with Teeth

Step 6: This Purplish Part is NOT Edible. Bend the Purple Part and Bottom Layer will Come Off With it. Toss it.

Step 7: Use Spoon to Remove Fuzzy Part. Not Edible!
